The British Dyslexia Association calculates that one in ten of the population is dyslexic, and asserts that employers need to make provision for it under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA).
Members of the Chambers of Commerce will have received a helpful pamphlet setting out a framework for action to assist dyslexic staff. Dyslexia is one of the disabilities defined by the DDA, which means that employers have to make reasonable adjustments in the employment of such staff.
