The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) has produced a toolkit to help employers to ensure that their pay practices are fair, which is available online at the EOC website, www.eoc.org.uk.
The EOC is also expected to publish a Code of Practice on equal pay in Spring 2003, but progress appears to be hampered by misunderstandings on the development of appropriate payroll software between the EOC and the two major unions involved, the GMB and Amicus.
