The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) were laid before Parliament on 14 November and will come into force in phases, starting on 9 December 2002. This completes the new regulations to manage hazardous substances at work, following the new asbestos, lead, and COSHH regulations.
