A guide which helps explain how property owners can obtain the legal
right to drive across common land to reach their property has been published by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The guide has been
compiled to complement the introduction of recent regulations which
enable homeowners to secure vehicle access over the road, track or
other route leading to their property, where it borders common land.
