Construction News reports that Eternit UK has been fined £40,000 and ordered to pay over £20,000 legal costs, following the death of a factory worker. Ciro Dario was cleaning a production line when he was killed by coming into contact with moving parts.
The HSE inspector commented: "[Employers] must ensure that any risk of an employee coming into contact with dangerous or moving parts is properly controlled. Mr Dario’s death could have been prevented by the use of simple and common guard... (1 more words)
