European Works Councils: More Information

The DTI has updated its guidance on the Transnational Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 1999, which implements the EU Works Council Directive in the UK.

The regulations set out the procedures for negotiating a European Works Council agreement; including the enforcement mechanisms, provisions on confidential information, transitional provisions and exemptions, and statutory protections for employees.
