With the August bank holiday weekend imminent, the TUC has re-launched its periodic claim that UK workers are sold short by annual leave laws [see "TUC calls for more bank holidays", 24 August 2001]. The CBI has responded by saying that "following the labour practices of countries that are less dynamic than we are is not the route to full employment and a successful economy."
The law is that UK workers are entitled to twenty days paid annual leave. Employers are not required to give workers ... (118 more words)
