Cumbria and Lancashire NHS health protection unit has confimed that Britain's worst ever legionella outbreak has been traced to the air conditioning plant in the Forum 28 civic centre.
A spokesperson for the unit said that it is never possible in these cases to be absolutely certain, but that they could trace the cause ""beyond all reasonable doubt".
