The Institute of Directors (IoD) has warned that the impact on employers of proposed new paternity rights has been underestimated. The consultation on the proposed changes closes today. Under the plans, fathers will be given up to six months' extra paternity leave once the mother has returned to work. The extra time off would be available during the second six months of the child's life. The changes are scheduled to come into effect for all babies born on or after 3 April 2011....
