The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) was used to help a Chartered
Secretary to win his case when he took a company to an Employment Tribunal.
It is one of the few times that DDA has been used in a case involving mental
illness.
Mr Andrew Watkiss was offered a job as a Company Secretary for a
construction company in 1998. They withdrew their offer when Mr Watkiss
