More than 40% of workers are opting out of the 48 hour/week limit under the Working Time Regulations, reports virtual newscaster Ananova. The statistic is from a survey of HR managers by the IRS Employment Review.
Other interesting findings reported include:
- Average working week is 37 hours for non-manual workers, and 38 hours for manual workers.
- Just under 50% of respondents have staff whose average working week includes work out of office hours.
