On 20 June 2002, the House of Lords judgment was published
in 3 related asbestos industrial disease cases, reported as
Fairchild -v- Glenhaven & Others. The decision represents a
significant change in the law of tort in England and Wales.
For cases where an injured claimant has evidential difficulties
in proving the necessary causal link between the injury
