The widespread use of computers in most businesses gives ample opportunity for staff to abuse their employers’ facilities in any number of new ways. The possibilities range from the simple wasting of company time (watching the progress of the World Cup on-line, booking holidays etc) to the downloading of obscene material and the e-mailing of confidential information or offensive content.
