Any employers or managers with dangerous substances on their premises will be affected by new legislation coming into force this summer. The new Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) set minimum requirements for the protection of workers from risks related to dangerous substances and potentially explosive atmospheres. The consultation period ended on 20 May 2002.
