The owner of an engineering company has been convicted of manslaughter after a father and son died when a brick kiln collapsed. Brian Dean of B Dean Demolition and Civil Engineers had hired the men who died, Michael Redgate and his 18-year-old son Carl, to demolish the kiln in Stoke-on-Trent and replace it with a more modern structure.
