The BBC has been found guilty of the unfair dismissal of a breakfast radio show assistant, after BBC Radio Bristol re-structured the show, according to news service Ananova. Mrs Helen Reed had covered 'light' news stories, and was not offered re-training to enable her to cover the 'hard' stories that BBC wanted for the new show. The tribunal commented that "some sort of programme could have been devised against which the applicant could have been measured".
