Many businesses unaware of redundancy regulation

Britain's businesses are unaware of the laws governing redundancy consultation and are thus leaving themselves open to sizeable damages and significant employee relations risks, according to the results of a survey conducted by law firm, Pinsent Masons.

Eighty-four per cent of survey respondents who indicated they were considering making redundancies in the coming six months were unaware of the correct length of time required to consult with employees. And 28% were not aware that fail... (311 more words)
