The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has prosecuted a company for its part in an incident that required workers to jump clear of a rail collision to save themselves.An engineering train at a work site was moved without necessary steps being taken to protect nearby railway maintenance workers. Several workers had to jump clear when the train collided with a trolley loaded with welding equipment.
