From 1 July 2002, working mothers in Belgium will have the right to take paid breaks at work to breast feed their babies. In addition, the Belgian government is making it unlawful for employers to require a pregnancy test (or production of a test certificate) unless the duties of a particular job pose a significant risk to the health of the woman or the child.
