An NHS trust has been cleared of breaching health and safety rules over the death of its laundry production manager, who was crushed by a machine.
In December 2005 Bayunga Meya, 47, crawled underneath a machine to correct a fault, but a colleague restarted it unaware Meya was there. The father of three from Ilford, Essex, was then struck by a heavy metal basket and suffered serious chest injuries, London's Southwark Crown Court was told.
