HSE warning follows several incidents involving asbestos

The HSE in North Wales is warning those people who are commissioning refurbishment work to ensure there is no asbestos present before works starts.

HSE inspectors have investigated a number of incidents in recent months where contractors have disturbed asbestos while carrying out refurbishment work.

Site owners have a legal obligation to identify the location of asbestos before work starts, and to arrange for its removal by properly licensed companies if the work runs the risk of disturbi... (191 more words)
