Changing battery recycling legislation – more details

Stricter rules on manufacturing and recycling batteries and accumulators (rechargeable batteries) for UK businesses are being introduced through the implementation of the European Batteries Directive.

This follows new regulations on battery labelling and design which came into force on 26 September 2008.
