A woodwork teacher (Mr Shand) developed occupational asthma because his employers failed to control exposure to wood dust – a substance hazardous to health – the HSE has found.

Stirling Council was fined £5,000 at Stirling Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to a number of breaches of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 (as amended).
