The Treasury has abandoned proposed changes to the current rules for tax-free travel and other related subsistence expenses for temporary workers, affecting an estimated 100,000 - 150,000 contractors.
This is particularly relevant in situations where an employee works on a series of unrelated engagements, but under one overriding employment contract.
