The claimants, who were employed as receptionists at the respondent’s medical practice, were suspended from their employment in January 2005 following interviews over alleged irregularities in their claims for overtime payment.
After a disciplinary hearing in February they were dismissed in March 2005 for misconduct, and their internal appeal against dismissal was heard and dismissed in July 2005.
