A major scheme has today (16 October) been launched to encourage businesses in the construction industry to reduce the amount of waste they send to landfill.
The voluntary agreement has been brought about by the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) and focuses on halving the amount of construction waste sent to sites by the year 2012.
