Health and Safety minister Lord McKenzie of Luton has described the issue of worker involvement in health and safety matters as one of his "priorities" for this year.
The minister was launching new guidance to assist companies with increasing the role employees play in health and safety management. By implementing a culture which places higher value on employees’ contributions the HSE claims that higher commitment and productivity would occur as a result.
