No let up in time spent complying with rules

Businesses are seeing no let up in time spent complying with regulations, even though most agree that Government rules are becoming fairer.

In a report published his week, the National Audit Office (NAO) said that compared to last year, slightly more businesses thought regulations were "more proportionate".

However, only 1% believed compliance with regulations had become less time-consuming, while 40% said it was taking longer, and 57% felt it had "stayed about the same.&quot... (275 more words)
