Two chemical company directors have been fined a total of £6,750 in the first prosecution under the UK’s Chemical Weapons Act, it has emerged.
Liverpool Magistrates Court heard that Colin Stott and Simon Knowles failed to notify the Government that their company produced more than one tonne of a chemical controlled under the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). This failure took place during 2002, 2003 and 2004.
