Unnecessary levels of bureaucracy are to be scrapped to enable employers to take on more apprentices, Skills Secretary John Denham has revealed.
Following concerns that companies are being deterred from employing apprentices due to overly demanding administrative routines, some of the previous demands - such as storing paperwork for up to six years, multiple inspection visits and monthly reporting requirements – are to be removed.
