Government backs union role in contracts

Companies seeking government contracts will be expected to provide their employees with information about trade unions and opportunities for training following a new agreement signed yesterday (15 July).

The Joint Statement aims to improve the quality of services delivered under such contracts by raising the skills of employees working on them.
