In Todd v. Sanquhar Home Ltd (2008), a Scottish tribunal was required to assess the level of compensation where an employer had failed to give the correct amount of notice.
The facts
Sanquhar Home Limited (Sanquhar) is a family run nursing home. Mrs Todd had worked as an administrator since 1989. In 2007 there was a dispute amongst the directors. Subsequently, Mr Brian Jackson was appointed provisional liquidator of Sanquhar.
