Following a review of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, the HSE has reiterated that it is only the guidance related to first aid in the workplace that is changing, and these changes will not diminish the level of first aid provision in the workplace.
The Regulations require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.
