Crush injuries to worker cost multinational firm £45,000

A multinational company has been successfully prosecuted for failing to ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment and that adequate risk assessments were in place after a worker suffered severe crush injuries.

On 17 March 2006, Mark Treadwell was standing on the back of a truck in front of a loading dock at the company site in Basildon.
