A housing company has been successfully prosecuted following an incident where a trainee plumber was seriously injured falling from a loft while he was changing a water tank.
On 18 January 2007, a trainee plumber was working with a colleague in a loft space in a Council-owned residential flat when he fell through a skylight, which was covered by loft insulation material, falling approximately ten feet onto stairs below.
