Last minute talks are currently underway to avert a four-day fuel strike, due to start tomorrow (13 June), which could lead to fuel shortages across the UK.
If the talks are unsuccessful, the 500 tanker drivers that are members of Unite the union will strike from 6am on 13 June to 6am on 17 June. One in ten filling stations would be affected by the action, meaning employees may struggle to get into work as fuel supplies dwindle.
