Dishonest employees' database: a good idea?

A database where employers can enter information about dishonest employees to warn future employers has been launched amid a storm of controversy.

The National Staff Dismissal Register has been developed to hold the details of individuals who have been dismissed or have left employment whilst under investigation for acts of dishonesty towards the company.
