Worker falls through skylight, boss charged with manslaughter

The owner and director of IC Roofing has been charged with the manslaughter of a worker, who died after falling through a skylight.

Darren Hoofe was carrying out roofing repairs at the Bellbrook Industrial Estate in Uckfield, Sussex, when he fell through a skylight 6m onto the factory floor below. He later died in hospital from head injuries he sustained in the fall.
