A Corby glue manufacturer has been fined £9,000 after dangerous machinery and unsuitable risk assessments led to a worker losing part of her finger.
In July 2007, Melissa Graham worked at Chemence Ltd, placing empty aluminium tubes into a machine to be filled with glue. Once filled with glue the tubes were pushed out of the holder to drop down a chute into a plastic box.
