The president of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has called the long-awaited Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act "a new dawn for corporate accountability in the UK".
Ray Hurst welcomed the new Act, saying it should serve as a deterrent to the minority of organisations that would otherwise disregard health and safety:
