Will the leap year cause problems for employers?

There seems to be some employment issues gaining publicity over this being a leap year.

Getting the day off

It’s been well publicised that the National Trust are giving their 54,000 staff and volunteers the day off on 29 February. They are encouraging them to use the day to reduce their carbon footprint. Staff will be asked to report what action they undertook, but will not face any disciplinary action if they spend the day not working on reducing their carbon footprint.
