Health institute backs workplace smoking code

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health has backed government proposals for a Code of Practice on workplace smoking, and has specifically highlighted the danger to those working in the hospitality industries. The Prime Minister has been asked not to backtrack on commitments made in the "Smoking Kills" White Paper to protect all workers from breathing other peoples tobacco smoke.
