The HSE has issued updated guidance aimed at preventing deaths and injuries to people involving lift trucks. The revised guidance follows the introduction of tighter controls on lift truck safety, including a new standard test for lift truck operators which we reported on in April this year. Every year there are about 8000 lift truck accidents resulting in injury, and on average 10 of them are fatal.
