The Health and Safety Commission (HSC) and the HSE need to place more emphasis on tackling work-related illness, the Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM) has warned.
In its submission to the Work and Pensions Select Committee inquiry into the operations and work of the HSC and the HSE, the IOM has acknowledged the ‘vital role’ the bodies play in safeguarding the health of workers in Britain.
