There has been much confusion recently over the government's proposals for a Code of Practice of Practice on Workplace Smoking. Brian Gegg of Masons solicitors, warns that employers who choose to implement an anti-smoking policy at work must take care not to be seen to be victimising smokers, or they could face smokers claiming for unfair dismissal.
