The HSE has announced plans to run a workers' safety adviser pilot scheme. The worker safety advisors will be selected and trained by the TUC. Under the scheme, access to premises will be voluntary and the advisers will report back to the HSE. The experiment will be conducted with a view to a more permanent arrangement. The scheme is part of the government's Revitalising Health and Safety campaign which aims to meet the following targets by 2010:- a 30% reduction in the number of working days... (40 more words)
