Two workers were electrocuted when a mobile tower light they were moving touched overhead powerlines, a court heard yesterday.
Fred Cook and John Crimmins died as a result of the 20,000-volt shock they suffered as they tried to illuminate overnight roadworks on the busy A66 dual-carriageway in County Durham.
The men, both from North Tyneside, were working for Newcastle-based Hatton Traffic Management Limited when the accident happened in January 2002.
