Stonewall has published its annual Workplace Equality Index, naming the top employer for gay people for 2008 as Nacro, the national crime reduction charity.
The Greater London Authority came second, Hampshire and Staffordshire police forces came joint third, and Pinsent Masons – the only law firm in the Index – was named Most Improved Employer.
