The Government is set to phase out conventional light bulbs by 2011 to cut carbon dioxide emissions; however, there is concern amongst experts that low-energy light bulbs may cause health problems.
The Environment Agency has warned that, because the bulbs contain small amounts of mercury, more information on their disposal is needed.
