In his pre-Queen's speech report to Parliament in July 2007, Gordon Brown trailed the Employment Bill as the Employment Simplification Bill, a title dropped by the time of the Queen's Speech in November.
This week we look at the main provisions of the Bill (which has its second reading in parliament this week) and consider whether the latest piece of proposed employment legislation is indeed a simplification or whether the Government was sensible to quietly drop the reference.
